Received assistance of Rs 6 lakh from forest department after husband’s death due to bear attack
Sarangarh Bilaigarh. In the Meri Kahani Meri Jubani program of Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra organized in village Khursula of Bilaigarh, Shanti Bai, wife of deceased Pawan God, told that after the death of my husband due to the attack by a bear, our family got Rs 6 lakh from the Forest Department. Assistance was given. Ranger Asif Khan of forest range Bilaigarh said that the family of the deceased was given immediate assistance of Rs 25 thousand.
After this, assistance of Rs 5 lakh 75 thousand was provided. It is noteworthy that Pawan Singh God’s father Adalat Singh, aged 55 years, had gone to village Khursula forest to pluck Mahua and graze goats in the forest near village Khursula under forest range Bilaigarh. The incident took place at 9 am on April 02, 2023. The deceased died after being attacked by a bear at a place called Bendrichuva, two hundred meters away from Gothan in Bakli Pali of Khursula. On receiving information about the incident, the Forest Department sent the deceased to Community Health Center Bilaigarh for post-mortem.
