Rescue of cattle from container, smuggling foiled by police
Kondagaon. Vishampuri Police has achieved a big success against cow smuggling. Late Thursday night, the police team seized a container truck loaded with cattle at Malgaon Chowk. It is being told that about 39 cows and bulls were loaded in the said truck, which were being sent from Utai (Durg) to Hyderabad (Telangana). Police have arrested the truck driver Mohammad Ismail and conductor P. Bandaiya. At present, further action is being taken in the case.
A special chamber was made inside the truck in which a blue colored mattress has been installed. So that the cattle do not get scratched. It seems that this truck has been used in illegal cow smuggling before and here the truck has been specially designed for cow smuggling. All the cattle have been beaten and a special mark has been made for identification. At present, the police is continuously interrogating both the accused. Their names are Mohammed Ismail, age 40 years, and P Bandaiya, who is a resident of Telangana. This is a very big syndicate of cow smuggling that has been going on for a long time. If the police investigates it closely, many big revelations can be made.
