Rescue of man-eating animal from Bhilai plant, specializes in eating buried corpses
Durg. The man-eating animal grave badger has been rescued inside the Jaypee plant located in Sector 5 in Bhilai township. This wild animal is rarely found in Chhattisgarh. After rescuing it will be released in BSP’s Maitribagh Zoo.
Snake Catcher Raja told that he got a call at 12 noon on Sunday. The caller told that there is a strange animal inside the Jaypee plant. He looks like a cat, but his tail is much longer. The snake catcher king understood that the wild animal was a grave badger. He asked people to stay away from him and immediately reached there with his team. After this, with full security and caution, he was caught by holding his tail. After this he was put in a sack and taken to Maitri Bagh.
Snake Catcher Raja told that the tomb badger is a man-eating animal and is lazy. It digs the grave and enters inside it and then eats the buried dead. Being lazy, it runs very slowly. There is also the Asian Palm Civet, a cat-sized species of burrowing badger. The grave badger is omnivorous. Its main food is fruit tuber root as well as small insect moths.
