Palampur. After getting Palampur recognized in the international market for flowers from Tulip Garden, now the Himalayan Bioresource Technology Institute based in Palampur has prepared a plan to work on peony flowers.

Now research on peony flower will be done in the institute which is trying to strengthen the economy of farmers through flower farming. Peony flowers, which are sold at expensive prices, are in great demand in the market and currently this flower is imported into the country from the Netherlands.

This flower is produced in cold climate and according to scientists, it can be produced in the state. The price of peony flower stem is around Rs 350 in the market and its cultivation in the state will create new possibilities for flower growers.
