Retired army man reaches High Court against priest, accuses him of kidnapping his daughter
Gujarat. A retired army jawan living in Meghaninagar has filed a habeas corpus in the Gujarat High Court to get information about his daughter who has been missing for the last 6 months. In which it is said that his daughter has run away with the priest of Mathura due to brainwashing done by the priests of ISKCON temple located on SG Highway in Ahmedabad.
In the habeas corpus filed in the Gujarat High Court, it is said that due to his daughter’s interest in devotion, she used to regularly visit the ISKCON temple located on SG Highway in Ahmedabad. Due to which, after coming in contact with the priests of the temple, she used to be present in the discourse on Krishna Leela in the temple. Taking advantage of which, she was brainwashed by the priests of the temple. The daughter came under the influence of the priests and ran away with the priest of the temple in June with 23 tolas of gold and Rs 3.62 lakh in cash.
Accusing the ISKCON temple of Ahmedabad, the Habeas Corpus filed by the army jawan states that his daughter is being held captive by the priests of the temple and is being given drugs, due to which the daughter’s life is in danger. The army jawan has said that an ISKCON resident of Rajasthan had told him that his daughter has eloped with a disciple from Mathura. Taking into consideration the Habeas Corpus filed by the retired jawan, the High Court has issued notices to the Gujarat government, Ahmedabad CP, Inspector of Meghaninagar, Nilesh Deshwani, Sundarmama Prabhu, Murali Manohar Prabhu, Ankita Sindhi, Harishankardas Maharaj, Akshayatithi Kumari, Mohit Prabhuji Maharaj and Shimla Shersingh Rajpurohit and fixed the next hearing on January 9.
