Revanth Reddy’s journey from ZPTC member to CM
Hyderabad: Born on 8 November 1969 in Kondarreddypally village in Nagarkurnool district, Minister Principal A Revanth Reddy was an ABVP activist during his university days and started his political career by winning as a member of ZPTC, Medjil Mandal. 2006.. He was elected as Member of the Legislative Council (Jeeva Local) as an independent candidate in 2007. Licentiate in Arts, he entered the Legislative Assembly by winning as MLA of the electoral district of Kodangal in representation of Telugu Desam Party (TDP). 2009. He became MLA for the second time in 2014 and was the President of TDP from 2014 to 2017. He resigned from TDP in October 2017 and joined Congress the same year. After being appointed as one of the three working presidents of the TPCC in September 2018, he competed for the electoral district of Kodangal in the December 2018 assembly elections, but lost. Later, he presented himself as the Congress candidate for the parliamentary electoral district of Malkajgiri and emerged victorious in the 2019 general elections. He was named President of TPCC on June 26, 2021, and was sworn in on July 7, 2021.
