Revenue department employee, assistant arrested for taking bribe

Ballia: A revenue department employee and his assistant were arrested for accepting a bribe of Rs 5,000 for a land survey, police said on Wednesday. Deputy Superintendent of Police Shiv Narayan Vais said that a team of Azamgarh unit of Anti-Corruption Organization on Tuesday caught accountant Navneet Kharwar and his associate Chunnu Kumar red-handed while taking bribe. The action came after a resident of Sultanpur complained that Khawar was demanding money for survey of his land.
