Rice not deposited even after receiving stake, rice mills inspected
Dhamtari. On the instructions of Collector Namrata Gandhi, rice mills are being inspected by the Food Department in the district. In this episode, the departmental staff inspected the said rice mill, Gajraj Agro Industries Garhdongri Ltd. located in Tehsil Belargaon of Nagari development block, for not depositing rice for a long time even after receiving stake.
In the investigation, on physical verification of paddy from Gajraj Agro Industries Garhdongri Ltd., 19014 quintal 11 kg paddy was found less in stock. In view of this, 1194 quintal 40 kg paddy and 846 quintal rice were seized after physical verification when Gajraj Agro Industries Garhdongri Ltd. did not deposit rice even after receiving stake for more than 15 days, due to violation of clauses of Chhattisgarh Custom Milling Rice Procurement Order 2016.
