RIPA assists young individuals to achieve success by running the bamboo craft unit

Riapur. The state government is providing employment to the youth of the state through the Mahatma Gandhi Rural Industrial Park (RIPA) scheme. The scheme helps entrepreneurs by offering various opportunities. They are undertaking many businesses in RIPA as per the availability of local resources. Livelihood-oriented activities in RIPA create employment avenues for the villagers. Villagers who previously moved to other states earn a substantial income by engaging themselves in RIPA initiatives.

The youth of Dhauramuda Gram Panchayat of Bilha block in the district are engaged in manufacturing tree guards in RIPA, where a bamboo craft unit is established. This unit is operated by Mr. Mandram Tekam and is playing a significant role in employing young rural members of the village. The members of the unit are manufacturing tree guards and have received an order worth Rs. 3.6 lakh from the Forest Department in Bilaspur. They have already manufactured 2000 units of tree guards thus far. This scheme has provided direct employment to rural youth and empowered them financially, transforming them from labourers to successful entrepreneurs. Youth now have the opportunity to learn new skills. As a result, their self-confidence has increased, and they are inspiring other villagers. The members expressed their gratitude to the state government for this initiative.
