Road restoration work begins rapidly as soon as rain stops
Raipur: As soon as the rain stopped, the Municipal Corporation and Raipur Smart City Limited started the work of restoration of potholes and broken roads during laying of underground cabling and pipelines on a war footing. Municipal Corporation Commissioner Mayank Chaturvedi has asked the officers and engineers associated with this work to complete all the restoration work with quality within the stipulated time limit. To avoid inconvenience to the citizens during Ganesh immersion and other festivals, the restoration of the main road should be done first. The work of CC, asphalting and patch work will also be completed soon.
To repair the broken roads and potholes during the underground cabling and pipeline work plan, the team of Municipal Corporation and Raipur Smart City is completing the restoration work by taking to the streets till late night. This work was getting hampered due to continuous rains, now as soon as the rains stopped, the work team has started the work at a fast pace.
By this task force, 90 percent restoration work has been completed in Mahila Thana Chowk area, 80 percent in Malviya Road, 70 percent in Sadar Bazaar and 60 percent in Lakhe Nagar Road. This restoration work is being done with concrete and asphalt as per requirement. Apart from these roads, this team is also doing the work of filling potholes at intersections. Till now 90% of the restoration work of intersections has been completed. The restoration work is being done at a rapid pace under the supervision of a special technical squad so that there is no inconvenience to the common citizens.
