Robbery at gunpoint in petrol pump, masked criminals arrived at midnight

Gariaband. Two masked criminals have looted a petrol pump in the district at gunpoint. The incident is said to have happened late Friday night. The matter pertains to Lakshmi petrol pump of Kotwali police station area.

According to the information received, last night two masked bike riders committed robbery at Lakshmi Petrol Pump located on the National Highway on the outskirts of the city. On the report of employee Bhavesh Dhruv, the Kotwali police have registered a case and started investigation.

The employee told the police that he was sleeping in the staff quarter when between 1 and 1.30 in the night two people riding a bike picked him up to fill petrol. As soon as he got up, the miscreants snatched the keys of the counter, threatening to kill him at gunpoint. Then they ran away with 5 to 10 thousand rupees kept in the counter. The miscreants also snatched the mobile phones of a bus driver and staff who were sleeping in the pump. The employee told that along with the electricity, they had also accidentally switched off the CCTV camera button. Due to this, it has become more difficult to find the miscreants.
