Robotics, AI Start Ups At G20 Ministerial Summit For Women Empowerment
In a series of start up businesses that had been put up as a part of the G20 summit on Ministerial Conference on Women Empowerment in Gandhinagar on Tuesday, hundreds of start ups were led by women.
Interestingly, several women who had put up their stalls at the summit belonged to departments including Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Robotics, Technology, etc., to create products that can be developed for the overall public betterment.
Several products and stalls aimed at disseminating information of AI, robotics, coding etc., and introducing them to the rural areas. “We give them the kits to assemble, which helps the children learn engineering, robotics, its working as well as the coding part of the procedure,” said exhibitor Monica Yadav – Founder & Director, Respire Experiential Learning.
Moreover, there were several stakeholders rooting for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, products of which have currently been used in Fire Emergency Services (FES) as well as rovers that are mounted with infrared cameras and water load.
“Government has been very supportive and they are also helping in creating an environment for inculcating Artificial Intelligence and Robotics in the defense sector and emergency services. We also have a probable contract with defense sectors. Another rover that has been developed is also for the defense sector where the cameras on top of it can perform target acquisition and it can be further developed for more offensive tactics,” said Dr Neelima Mishra, Director, Club First, a robotics company that had put up the stall.
