Rs 1.2 Lakh Cash Seized During Vehicle Checking

Khetiya: Khetiya police on Thursday seized Rs 1.2 lakh in cash during a vehicle checking drive under the Model Code of Conduct at Barrier Chowk on the Maharashtra-Madhya Pradesh border. A police team led by Khetiya police station inspector Sher Singh Baghel stopped a car and arrested Chandraprakash Soni and Rohit Sitole of Indore. During the inspection, Rs 1.2 lakh cash was seized.

Both the occupants were unable to provide valid documents for the cash. The amount was seized and both were directed to produce valid documents before the DGC committee to get back their seized money. The successful operation was carried out with the invaluable contribution of various members of the police force including SI Surendra Singh Baghel, SI Sanjay Gurjar, Rajendra Barde and Bheru Singh Vasunia as well as the SST team.
