Rs 5 lakh cash found in car, driver not giving details of money

Bilaspur. As elections are near, police action has also intensified. The police are continuously keeping an eye on suspicious activities by conducting checking campaigns in the border areas. In this connection, the police have seized Rs 5 lakh in cash during vehicle checking near Banak Chowk under Sirgitti police station. The car driver keeping the cash is not able to give information about the amount. At present the police is taking action by seizing the cash.

Let us tell you that a checking campaign is being run across the state in view of the upcoming assembly elections. Till now, police have recovered crores of rupees in cash from various districts.

Apart from this, a large quantity of gold and silver jewelery has also been seized. On Friday itself, a joint team of Crime and Cyber Unit and Azad Chowk police station was patrolling on foot and checking two-wheeler/four-wheelers near Ara Mile in Badhaipara, Raipur.
