Saras Mela decorated with attractive and charming exhibition

Kawardha. In the Saras Fair organized at the PG College grounds of Kawardha, various colorful, attractive, attractive artefacts along with various materials have been exhibited by the self-help groups. Collector Janmejay Mahobe and District Panchayat CEO Sandeep Kumar Aggarwal visited the stall and discussed with the sisters of the group. During this, they got information about their products and gave suggestions to take the business forward.

Tokaniya and boxes made from bass by the women self-help group of Jashpur are available in all sizes. Bags, jackets, mats etc. made from banana tree fiber have been kept by the group of Bemetra district. Sarees and other clothes made of Kosa silk from Janjgir Champa, Jhara craft has been kept by the group of Raigarh. The group from Vananchal region has kept chemical-free local jaggery, the group from Dantewada has kept Kodo-Kutki, turmeric, chilli and other spices in their stall. Agarbatti jute production and golden glass have been kept by the group of Orissa. Various products made from Amla have been kept by the group of Sagar Madhya Pradesh. Many products including handloom of Uttarakhand and clothes and para art of Rajasthan Ghaziabad have been kept for exhibition and sale.

A craft fair has been organized in Saras Mela itself, in which there is a variety of handloom clothes. Many items like pickles, bangles, bags, carpets, caps, sheets etc. remain the center of attraction. People coming to the fair are getting hot and tasty snacks through food stalls. Especially the demand for Chhattisgarhi dishes was high. In the food stall, a member of the women’s group from Durg told that many dishes are available in their stall as per the demand of the guests and the business is also going very well. Mathura Chaat Bhandar also remains a favorite of the people. Meena Bazaar is decorated for children and youth, in which many types of swings and sports equipment are kept. Along with these attractions, many products have been placed for the people in the slots of the indigenous market. It is noteworthy that a 10-day Saras Fair has been organized in the district from 26 February to 6 March. In which self-help groups from Chhattisgarh and other states have set up stalls for exhibition and sale of their products.
