Sarpanch murdered, EPFO commissioner arrested

Mumbai. Indore’s Employment Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) Commissioner Mukesh Rawat, accused in the murder of Gwalior Sarpanch Vikram Rawat, was arrested at Mumbai airport on Tuesday. With the help of CISF chief Dr. Manoj Sharma, he was caught and handed over to Sahar Police, who will hand him over to Gwalior Police today (Wednesday).

11 people arrested so far in the case

Gwalior Police had announced a reward of Rs 10,000 for anyone giving information about Rawat. Sarpanch Vikram Rawat of Banhari village of Gwalior was shot dead in Padav area on 9 October. The police had arrested 11 people in this case and were searching for Mukesh Rawat, who is said to have enmity with Mukesh Rawat. Sarpanch’s family. A case of murder and criminal conspiracy has been registered against the EPFO Commissioner.

The main accused and mastermind Pushpendra Rawat was captured from Panihar forest after a brief shootout in which he was injured. After the Sarpanch absconded after the murder, the police had announced a reward of Rs 5,000 for anyone giving information about him.
