SCCL team became runner up in CIL tournament, won a lot of medals
Kothagudem: Players of Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) have won a rich collection of medals in the Coal India Inter Company Powerlifting, Weightlifting and Bodybuilding Tournament-2023-24.
The SCCL team finished as vice-champion and won 20 medals in the three-day tournament held from December 4 to 6 at Nagpur, the seat of Western Coalfields Limited (WCL) in the state of Maharashtra.
A team was made up of 33 members. Eight eSports players participate in men’s weightlifting, six in women’s weightlifting, 10 in weightlifting and nine in physical culture. Team SCCL won five gold medals, eight silver medals and seven bronze medals.
One team received the Coal India Limited (CIL) Sub-Championship trophy from Manoj Kumar, CMD, WCL. The following eSports players won gold medals; S Srinivas Reddy-93 kg weightlifting, MU. Bhaskar Chari – 55 kg weightlifting, K Anil Kumar -67 kg weight lifting, M Ramakrishna -80 kg weight lifting and B Venkataswamy -90 kg weight lifting.
As for esportistas, Choudhary Sai Latha won the silver medal for women’s weightlifting up to 84 kg, while S Anuradha won the bronze medal for women’s weightlifting up to 57 kg. S.D. Abdullah Ahmed, K Anand Rao, J Venkateshwarlu, P Prakash, M Ajay, J Mogili and G Satyanarayana won silver medals in their respective categories.
Choudhary Komal Reddy, A Raghava Reddy, SD Abdullah Ahmed, A Lakshman, Bithirupathi and M Pawan Kumar won bronze medals in their respective categories. SCCL directors P Sushil Kumar, K Sai Swarup and P Srinivas participated in the closing ceremony of the tournament.
