School bus driver arrested in rape case, student had complained

The police have arrested the accused. A case has been registered against him under several sections including POCSO and rape. A few days ago, an incident of sexual harassment of two minor girls in a school in Maharashtra came to light.

On Wednesday, the Jikkarpur police arrested the bus driver of a big school in Chandigarh. He is accused of repeatedly raping a 17-year-old school girl. The accused has been identified as 26-year-old Mohammad Razak. Police said that the accused was blackmailing the minor through morphed pictures. He committed this crime with the minor 3 times between May and July. Troubled by the repeated brutality, the student informed the family about it and then a complaint was lodged with the police. Jikarpur police took immediate action and arrested the accused.

According to media reports, the minor has told the police that the accused had been following her for several months and had also expressed his desire to be friends. However, after the student refused, the accused morphed a photo of a family function and then started threatening her. On May 18, when the student was at home with her sister, the accused came and started forcing her to have physical relations and threatened to share objectionable pictures.
