Schoolgirl accused car riders of rape, then retracted her statement
Ambikapur. In Ambikapur, a schoolgirl lodged a report of kidnapping and rape by car riders at Gandhinagar police station. According to the student, she was kidnapped from near Navapara Diet. When the police took the statement of the student and recorded the magisterial statement, the student in panic said to lodge an FIR. According to the information, on Tuesday evening, a 14-year-old schoolgirl lodged a report at the Gandhinagar police station that while going to school in the morning, she was abducted by riders in a white car on a deserted road near Diet, threatened her and raped her. Later the car riders left him and went away. After this she also went to school. Regarding the incident, the police registered an offense under sections 341, 354, 363, 365, 366, 376 (2) (J), 511 and 8 of the Child Act. The police interrogated the student on Wednesday.
The CC cameras installed around the said incident spot were examined. At the time told by the student, a white car passed by the spot, which turned out to be that of a government employee. No other white car had passed at the time mentioned by the student. When the police recorded the magisterial statement of the student, the student denied the incident. In-charge CSP Akhilesh Kaushik said that since it was a student’s case, the police immediately registered an FIR. However, the truth of the allegations made by the student was not found. At the time when the kidnapping incident is being reported, no such suspicious car was seen in the CCTV cameras. Gandhinagar police produced the student before the CWC after the magisterial statement on Wednesday evening. It has been told that the student had reached school late. Probably he did this out of nervousness of arriving late and he was not aware of the seriousness of the crime. Police is taking further action in the matter.
