Schools of Eminence will give wings to students’ dreams: Punjab CM

Ludhiana. To ensure access to quality education to students, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and his Delhi counterpart Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday dedicated 13 new Schools of Eminence to the public. While talking to the media here, the Chief Minister said that by constructing these schools, the government is giving wings to the dreams of the students to fly high in their lives.

He said that after Delhi, now a big revolution is being seen in the field of education in Punjab. These schools are a reflection of that. Mann said that this is an important occasion and the day is not far when Punjab will be the leading state in the country. The Chief Minister said that this initiative of the government will ensure access to quality education especially for the poor and deprived sections of the society. He said that the students of these schools will excel in every field and bring glory to the state. Mann said that with this effort, the process of changing the destiny of the students has begun. A paradigm shift is being seen in the education sector, students from private schools are now taking admission in government schools. The Chief Minister said that this is just the beginning. More such schools will be opened for the welfare of poor students. These schools will be modern-day temples that will bring qualitative change in the lives of students.

Kejriwal said that the Chief Minister of Punjab is the guardian of the interests of the people of the state and the need of the hour is to strengthen his hands so that he can strongly counter the anti-Punjab stance of the Centre. He attacked the central government for withholding funds worth about Rs 8,000 crore from the state. He said that these funds could have been utilized appropriately for the development of the state. He said that in the last two years, unprecedented work has been done to accelerate development in the state. Mann’s hands will have to be strengthened by giving all 13 Lok Sabha seats in favor of Aam Aadmi Party.
