Scolded by father, college student commits suicide by jumping off building
Mumbai (IANS). In a shocking incident, a 16-year-old boy jumped off a building in Mumbai this afternoon and ended his life. The police gave this information on Wednesday.
According to the police, the boy jumped from his 5th floor flat in Pratiksha Nagar Building No. 18, while his stunned father, mother and sisters were shouting for him to stop.
Siddhant, a student of Guru Nanak College in Sion, was rushed to a nearby hospital in a badly injured condition, but he succumbed to his injuries soon after.
The incident took place when the boy’s father Sanjay Bhosale, who is an official at BMC L ward office, Kurla, allegedly reprimanded him for some unknown reason.
An accidental death report has been registered in the matter at Wadala Truck Terminus Police Station (WTT).
Senior Inspector of WTT Police Station Dnyaneshwar Argade told IANS, “We are probing further… Mobile phone and laptop of the victim have been seized for investigation… But no suicide note has been recovered.” “
A police team has also gone to interrogate his friends in the college and the neighborhood where he lived to probe all aspects of the sudden fatal act of the teenager.
