Scooty catches fire due to collision with truck, woman dies

Hamirpur. Three people riding a scooty were hit by a truck on the Yamuna bridge on the highway in the city Kotwali area. The woman died in the accident. The scooter caught fire after the incident. Due to this there was jam on the highway.

Ram Kishore, resident of Bhilavan Mohalla of the city, was coming from Sajeti area of police station Kanpur Nagar district along with his wife Beera (40) and 10 year old granddaughter. As soon as we reached Yamuna bridge. Then a speeding truck hit the scooter from behind on the highway. In the accident, woman Bina died after being crushed under the tire of a truck. Her husband Ramkishore Sachan (50) and her 10-year-old granddaughter got seriously burnt when their scooter caught fire.

Police reached the spot after receiving information and admitted the injured to the district hospital. Also extinguished the fire in the scooter. The body has been taken into custody and sent for post-mortem. After the incident, there was a jam on the highway for some time. Which was gradually restored by the police.
