SDM and BEO suspended to headmaster caught in drunken condition

Bastar. The headmaster, who was caught in a drunken state at Lohandiguda in the district, has been suspended. With the commencement of the new academic session, such complaints come to the fore in many areas of Bastar, where teachers not only reach school in a drunken state but also harass fellow teachers as well as students.

Lohandiguda’s SDM and BEO Chandrashekhar Eric Pal reached the school to investigate on the complaint of a similar case. Here during the inspection the headmaster was found drunk. Immediately the concerned headmaster was taken to the nearest hospital for medical examination and with this the proposal for suspension of the headmaster has been sent to the District Education Officer. Significantly, there are frequent complaints of school education getting affected due to open sale of liquor in rural areas and teachers who are fond of alcohol.
