Security critically injured after unknown miscreants attacked him

Bhubaneswar: A security guard sustained serious injuries after unknown miscreants attacked him with sharp weapon at Mangraj point on Puri bypass road in Bhubaneswar last night.

The injured guard has been identified as Gouranga Das, was working as security guard at auto showroom in Bhubaneswar, He was a resident of Jajpur.

According to reports, some three unknown miscreants had come to the showroom for loot purpose and when their loot bid failed. They attacked the security guard with sharp weapons. Following which he sustained serious injuries on his head and hand.

Gouranga was immediately rushed to the Capital hospital for medical treatment.

On being informed about the incident the Commissionerate police reached the spot and have started an investigation into the matter.

Yesterday, four miscreants looted valuables worth around Rs 2 crore at JJ Rajvatika apartment at Pathargadia in Infocity area in Bhubaneswar.

They broke open the iron grills and locks at the entrance of the flats with the iron rods. They looted the gold ornaments and other valuables worth Rs 2 crore from the four flats and decamped.
