Seminar organized on the topic of young voters and democracy

Raipur. Journalism Department, I.Q.A.C. in Agrasen College, Purani Basti. Under the joint aegis of National Service Scheme, a seminar on the topic “Young Voters and Democracy” was organized in the college auditorium today. In the program, Vice Chancellor of Kushabhau Thakre Journalism University, Prof. Baldev Bhai Sharma was the chief guest. Whereas, former State Election Commissioner Dr. Sushil Trivedi (Retired IAS) presided over the program. Dr. Shailendra Patel, Registrar of Pt. Ravi Shankar Shukla University was invited as a special guest. Also, Dr. Chunnilal Sharma, Assistant Nodal Officer of the SVEEP program, as the guest speaker, gave information on the importance of voting.

All the speakers in the seminar said in one voice that young voters play the biggest role in strengthening democracy in India. Therefore, young voters are the main force of democracy. Dr. Narendra Tripathi, Head of the Department of Electronics at Kushabhau Thakre Journalism University, was also specially present in this program. Today after the seminar, students of Journalism Department and all the departments of the college participated in N.S.S. Along with the cadets, a rally was also taken out to give the message of voter awareness.
