Seven Bihar Congress Leaders Expelled For Six Years Over Anti Party Activities

The Congress party, which suffered a crushing defeat in the Bihar Assembly elections, is now introspecting. It has expelled seven senior leaders for acting against the party’s principles. It has also cancelled their primary membership for six years.
The decision was taken after a review by the party’s disciplinary committee. Those expelled include former party state vice president Aditya Paswan, another former vice president Shakeel Ur Rehman, former Kisan Congress president Rajkumar Sharma, Youth Congress president Rajkumar Ranjan, another former president Kundan Gupta, Banka district Congress president Kanchana Kumari, and Nalanda district Congress president Ravi Golden.
The disciplinary committee found that the above seven leaders had frequently made anti-party comments in the media. It said that show cause notices were issued to the seven leaders seeking an explanation, but they did not provide a satisfactory explanation for the notices, and therefore the expulsion was imposed.
