Seven-year-old girl raped, accused arrested

Mau: A 30-year-old man has been arrested in Mau district for raping his seven-year-old niece. Police gave this information on Saturday. According to the police, a seven-year-old girl was raped by her maternal uncle in a locality of Dakshin Tola police station area on Friday.

The police said that the girl was seriously injured and the accused fled from the house. According to the police, seeing the critical condition of the girl, her mother took her to the Women’s District Hospital with the help of other people, where after first aid, the victim was referred to the Trauma Center located in Azamgarh district.

After this, the family informed the police about the matter. City area Police Circle Officer (CO) Anjani Kumar Mishra said that on the basis of the complaint, the police registered an FIR against the accused on Saturday under Section 376 (Rape) of the Indian Penal Code and the POCSO Act and arrested him.
