Shalin Kabra presides over mega public outreach program in Dudu
As part of the public outreach initiative of the UT Administration, Additional Chief Secretary (ACS), Jal Shakti Department, Shaleen Kabra today chaired a mega public outreach program at Dudu Panchayat, Udhampur.
Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur, Saloni Rai, Mission Director, JJM, Dr. GN Itu, Chief Engineer Jal Shakti, Chief Engineer I&FC Department, Manoj Gupta, SSP, Joginder Singh, Additional District Development Commissioner, Ghan Sham Singh, DDC Member Lati- Pinky Devi, DDC member Narsoor, Subhash Chander and other senior officials were present in the Marothi programme.
Various government departments like agriculture, horticulture, health, animal husbandry, sheep husbandry, social welfare, handicrafts, handloom and others had set up awareness stalls about their respective schemes.
The Additional Chief Secretary along with the Deputy Commissioner inspected the stalls and interacted with the officials and reviewed the progress of their schemes at the ground level.
During the interaction with the public and former PRI members, several issues and demands were raised, including opening of a Kendriya Vidyalaya school in Dudu, construction of roads, forest clearance, establishment of PHE guest houses, development of infrastructure for religious places, educational This includes staff shortages. and recruitment drives for health institutions and youth employment.
Appreciating the natural beauty and tourism potential of the region, Shalin Kabra stressed the need for sustainable development and transparent recruitment processes to effectively address the demands. He appreciated the efforts of the local community in maintaining cleanliness and assured them of the government’s commitment to promptly resolve their complaints.
ACS reiterated the Government’s dedication towards ensuring access to basic amenities and services for all citizens, emphasizing the importance of schemes like Jal Jeevan Mission in providing clean water connections to every household. He underlined the role of local communities and water committees in ensuring the quality and maintenance of water resources at the village level.
Shalin Kabra assured the public of timely redressal of their grievances and demands related to their respective areas.
