Shardiya Navratri, Manokamana Jyoti Kalash was lit in Shitala and temples
Balod: The festival of worship of Adi Shakti Maa Durga has started from Sunday i.e. today and from the very first day of the festival, puja, aarti and worship of the goddess has started in the devotional atmosphere in the temples of Mata situated in different areas of Balod district. Which will last for nine days. Manokamna Jyoti Kalash has also been lit by the devotees today at the famous goddess temples of the area Maa Ganga Maiya, Maa Siyadevi, Maa Mahamaya Temple and Kukur Dev Temple.
Today, on the first day of Navratri, a huge crowd of devotees was seen in Maa Ganga Maiya temple situated in village Jhalmala of the district. Devotees have reached here not only from the district but from every corner of the state. This time 900 wish lamps have been installed in the temple of Ganga Maiya. Today, the lamp was lit by 11 pundits from Vrindavan after performing ritual worship through Shakti Vachan. Various religious events will continue here for 9 days of Navratri. A huge fair has also been organized here in the premises next to the temple.
