Sharmila proposes joint political platform to fight for youth and unemployed

Hyderabad (IANS) | YSR Telangana Party (YSRTP) leader Y.S. Sharmila on Monday proposed setting up of Telangana Students Action for Vacancy and Employment (T-SAVE) to fight for the rights of youth and unemployed. Sharmila said that T-SAVE will be a joint platform for all political parties to come together and show their commitment and fight for the unemployed, educated youth of the state. He invited all parties to shun differences and join T-Save and Telangana Jana Samithi (TJS) leader Prof. Kodandaram was offered to lead the stage.

YSRTP chief has invited all parties for a meeting on April 10 to discuss the action plan. Sharmila reiterated the historical need for political parties to join hands and fight for the future of the youth of the state.

He alleged that Chief Minister KCR has not been given a single job in the current tenure and has gone against his promise made in the Assembly. Sharmila told reporters that it was very sad to take stock of the despair among the unemployed in the state, who have been completely cheated and played with by KCR.

Contrary to the Biswal Committee report, which recommended filling 1.91 lakh vacancies, KCR issued notifications for 33,000 jobs and conducted exams for only 8,000 posts. Thanks to the TSPSC leakage scam, the fate of even those lies hangs in the balance.

Sharmila further said that positions were being sold and KCR formally called for an SIT probe into the leakage scam. We all know that the SIT will go nowhere and it will be a stalemate. KCR will not ensure justice nor let others fight.

He alleged that KCR has perpetrated a blatant fraud on the unemployed youth and failed to provide unemployment allowance, one job per family and annual employment calendar. The only jobs with fat checks that he successfully created were for his family members, co-workers, and friends.

He called upon all parties to put aside their political differences, come together and form an All-Party Action Committee (APAC). APAC will guide and drive the Joint Platform for Action T-SAVE that I am proposing today.

T-SAVE is a platform where cutting across party barriers and political differences, we will have representation from all opposition parties, like-minded bodies and other prominent representatives of the society. When we are united, our strength is immense.
