Shepherd dies due to lightning in Bageshwar
Bageshwar (IANS). Monsoon has given its knock in the state. The rainstorm continues. The weather is also becoming a cause of trouble for the people. People’s life is completely chaotic. On the other hand, a case of death of a shepherd due to lightning has come to light in Bageshwar.
In fact, a person from Leeti village died due to lightning in Lodhura Bugyal of Kapkot tehsil. It is being told that the shepherd had gone to Lodhura Bugyal with his friends to graze sheep and goats. Meanwhile, he became a victim of the accident.
The body was sent to the hospital for postmortem. The disaster management officer has confirmed the death due to lightning in the postmortem report. According to the Disaster Management Department, 45-year-old Ramesh Singh, son of Mangal Singh, a resident of Leeti village, had gone to Lodhra Bugyal along with other people of the village for grazing sheep and goats. Meanwhile, due to heavy rains, lightning struck and Ramesh Singh died.
After the incident, the companions and relatives brought the dead body home. Then, the post-mortem of the dead body was done by taking it to the district hospital. According to Disaster Management Officer Shikha Suyal, the post-mortem report confirmed death due to lightning. He told that the incident comes under natural calamity. Further action is being taken in this matter.
