Shock to CM Kejriwal from the court, ED remand extended for so many days

New Delhi: The ED team reached Rouse Avenue Court on Thursday afternoon with Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who was arrested in the liquor policy case of Delhi. Where strong arguments were given from both ED and Kejriwal. After hearing the arguments, the court extended Kejriwal’s ED remand for 5 days. Actually, today on Thursday, Kejriwal’s 10-day remand was completed. After this, ED presented him in the court and asked for remand for 7 days.

ASG SV Raju had said that Kejriwal’s statement has been recorded and he is not giving direct answers to the questions. ED demanded 7 days custody of Arvind Kejriwal. ASG said, ‘The digital data found is also being examined. Some people have been called from Goa and they have to be made to sit face to face and record their statements. After hearing the arguments of both the parties, the court approved remand for five days.
No relief received from High Court

Earlier on Wednesday itself, Arvind Kejriwal got a big blow from the Delhi High Court when the court refused to give any relief in the matter of his arrest and his ED custody. In this case, the court sought response from ED and fixed its next hearing on April 3. On the other hand, the conflict has increased due to the arrest of Kejriwal. BJP and Aam Aadmi Party are continuously protesting against each other.
Kejriwal was arrested in liquor scam

Let us tell you that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was arrested by ED from his official residence on March 21 after questioning for about two hours. In the Delhi liquor scam, Rouse Avenue Court had sent him to ED custody till March 28. Even after his arrest, Arvind Kejriwal has not resigned from the post of Chief Minister. Aam Aadmi Party leaders say that he will remain the Chief Minister of Delhi and will run the government from jail if necessary.
