Shops of two brothers burgled in Sultanpur, thieves stole cash worth Rs 3.5 lakhs

Chamba. There has been theft in grocery shops in Sultanpur ward of Chamba city. The miscreants committed the crime late on Wednesday night. When the shopkeepers reached the shop on Thursday morning, they came to know about this. A complaint has been lodged with the police regarding this. The police team has started investigation by recording the statements of the shopkeepers. Near Sultanpur Chowk, two brothers have shops opposite each other. Thieves stole cash worth about Rs 3.5 lakh from shops.

After the complaint, the team led by Sultanpur police post in-charge Chaman went to the spot, recorded the statements of the affected shopkeepers and started investigation. The team also scanned the CCTV cameras installed in the shops to gather some information about the thieves, but initial investigation revealed a blurry picture of the thieves.

In such a situation, the thieves have not been identified. In the statement given to the police, brothers Rinku and Chhinda of Sultanpur told that like every day, they had closed their shops late at night and went to a nearby house, but when they reached the shops in the morning, they found a total of Rs 3.5 lakh in cash. Found missing. During this time, some cigarette packets were also stolen while other items were scattered around. SP Chamba Abhishek Yadav said that after receiving the complaint, the police has started investigation. Soon the thieves will be caught by the police.
