Show cause notice issued to 14 employees of health department

Raipur: These days, on the instructions of the Central Election Commission, the State Election Commission is in a strict mood regarding election responsibilities. The Commission is keeping an eye on the activities of political parties and their leaders in this election season and is also very serious about the accountability of government employees.

Talking about election work, before voting, election training programs are being organized for the employees under Chhattisgarh government. The Commission has strict instructions that all the nominated personnel should compulsorily attend this training programme. Ignoring this instruction of the Commission proved costly for 14 employees of the Health Department of Kondagaon district. All remained absent from the training program after which show cause notices have been issued to them. All the employees were absent in the first phase of training held on 16 October. After being careless and indisciplined towards an important task like elections, a notice has been issued to all the employees and an explanation has been sought within 24 hours. If satisfactory reply is not received within the time period, action will be taken.
