Sims superintendent removed

Bilaspur. Due to the poor condition of CIMS and lack of basic facilities for the patients, Dr. Neeraj Shende was removed from the post of SIMS Superintendent before the hearing to be held in the High Court today. After the strict statement of the High Court, Dr. Sujit Nayak has been given the responsibility in place of Dr. Shende. The case will be heard again today at 10.30 am.

Let us tell you that the High Court had taken suo motu cognizance of the plight of Sims. While hearing the case, Chief Justice Ramesh Sinha and Justice Ravindra Kumar Aggarwal reprimanded the SIMS Superintendent who appeared to answer and even asked how a person who was himself unfit was made the Superintendent. The court had asked the Chief Secretary, Health Secretary and the Collector to present the complete report of SIMS Hospital in the court on Tuesday.

During the hearing in the High Court, many questions were asked to SIMS Superintendent Dr. Neeraj Shinde. The court sought information about medical practitioners in the hospital, asking how many MD and MBBS doctors there are? Dr. Shinde could not answer about this. Using strong words, Chief Justice Sinha said, don’t you see the plight when you go to your chamber? It is the responsibility of the state to provide facilities to the patients, we have a lot of work, but now we are forced to take cognizance on our own.
