Since the start of air services, people are covering a journey of seven hours in one hour

Shimla. Air service from Delhi-Amritsar to Shimla started from Thursday. On the first day, 18 passengers reached Shimla from Amritsar in a 42 seater plane from Punjab’s International Airport Amritsar to Shimla. At the same time, six passengers in the plane from Shimla left for Amritsar. Alliance Air has started services on this route through 42 seater aircraft.

This airline will operate three days a week from Delhi to Shimla, from Shimla to Amritsar, from Amritsar back to Shimla, from Shimla to Dharamshala and from Dharamshala to Delhi. With the commencement of flights on this route, passengers will be able to reach Shimla from Amritsar in one hour.
The tourism industry will benefit from this. This flight will take place every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. The state government will provide 50 percent subsidy on the fare for this service. The fare from Amritsar to Shimla has been fixed at Rs 1999 after the subsidy. Subsidy will be available only on 50 percent seats.

Full fare will have to be paid for other seats. Along with tourists, local people will also be able to take advantage of this air service and travel time will be saved. Winter tourist season has started in the state. As soon as there is more snowfall in the mountains, more tourists will move to the mountains. Most tourists in Himachal come from neighboring states Punjab, Chandigarh and Haryana.

Mansi Sahay Thakur, Director of Tourism and Civil Aviation Department, says that the air service has started between Shimla-Amritsar from Thursday. On the first day, the plane took off from Shimla with six passengers, apart from this, 18 passengers reached Shimla in the plane from Amritsar.
