Six bridges worth Rs 15 crore will be built on state highways in the division

Uttar Pradesh. Narrow roads will not become a hindrance in the pace of construction of state highways. The state government has released the budget for small bridges on narrow roads. Proposals worth Rs 15 crore have been approved for six bridges in three districts in Moradabad division. About Rs 7 crore has been allocated for these bridges. All the bridges are on state highways. The Public Works Department has approved plans to build bridges on narrow roads on the state highway. Consent has been given to build thirteen small bridges in UP.

In Moradabad division, budget has been released for three bridges in Moradabad, two in Sambhal and one in Bijnor. Of these, three bridges are on Jaspur State Highway-147 via Bahsuma-Chandpur connecting Meerut to Moradabad. Executive Engineer of PWD, Mohd. Naved Khan says that three bridges have been approved on Chandpur-Bahsuma road over Rapti river in Moradabad. Instead of a narrow bridge, a small bridge will be built on it. So that the movement on the highway is not disrupted. Construction will begin as soon as the proposals are approved.
