Skeleton case solved, 4 arrested including 1 female accused

Raipur: On 23.02.2025, the applicant Anusuisa Sahu lodged a complaint in Arang police station that her son Dhanendra Sahu and daughter were travelling in a bus. Meanwhile, near Lakholi bus stand overbridge in Arang area, her son Dhanendra Sahu got down from the bus telling her daughter that he was coming and did not return home. Inquiry was made among neighbours and relatives but it was not found that some unknown person lured and kidnapped the minor son of the applicant. On the report of the applicant, a case under section 137(2) BNS has been registered against the unknown accused in Arang police station under crime number 125/25. Under the guidance of senior officers, the police team was searching for the minor son of the applicant. Meanwhile, on 05.03.2025, on the information of a human skeleton lying near Bhaisasur Khar in village Kosamkhunta under police station Arang, members of the joint team of Anti Crime and Cyber ​​Unit and Arang Police visited the spot and inspected it. For identification and search of the human skeleton, efforts were being made to ensure the identification of the skeleton by calling the family members of the missing person/kidnapped Dhanendra Sahu registered in police station Arang and showing the items found near the skeleton. In which the mother and sister of the kidnapped Dhanendra Sahu identified the shoes and clothes found near the skeleton and both of them identified the skeleton as Dhanendra Sahu, son of Hridaylal Sahu, age about 16 years, resident of Bihajar police station Bagbahara district Mahasamund. On which a case was registered in police station Arang and attached to the above case. During the inquest proceedings, prima facie it was found that an unknown person had murdered Dhanendra Sahu and thrown his body in Bhaisakhar in village Kosamkhunta with the intention of hiding evidence. On which, Section 103(1) BNS 25, 27 Arms Act has been added in Crime No. 125/22 Section 137(3) BNS registered in Police Station Arang against the unknown accused.

Taking the above blind murder incident seriously, Deputy Inspector General of Police and Senior Superintendent of Police Dr. Lal Umed Singh directed Additional Superintendent of Police Rural Kirtan Rathore, Additional Superintendent of Police Crime Sandeep Mittal, City Superintendent of Police Mana Lambodar Patel, Deputy Superintendent of Police Crime Sanjay Singh, In-charge Anti Crime and Cyber ​​Unit and Police Station In-charge Arang to trace the unknown accused and arrest him as soon as possible. On which, under the direction of senior officers, the joint team of Anti Crime and Cyber ​​Unit and Arang Police Station started to trace the unknown accused by conducting detailed interrogation of the sister and relatives of the deceased as well as from the people around about the incident. In connection with the tracing of the unknown accused, technical analysis was also done along with deploying informers. Efforts were also being made to identify the unknown accused through technical analysis and the evidence obtained. During this time, the team members received important information regarding the accused involved in the case. On which Sagar Sinha, resident of Lakhauli Temple Hasaud, was traced and caught by the team members. On questioning Sagar Sinha, he was trying to mislead the team members by changing his statement repeatedly, due to which the team suspected him deeply and on strict interrogation based on the evidences obtained by the team members, Sagar Sinha accepted that he along with his female friend Temin alias Chuniya Dhruv and other 02 companions Rahul Dhruv and Kuleshwar Dhruv committed the murder of the deceased minor Dhanendra Sahu and also told that he threw the body near Bhaisasur Khar due to fear of getting caught. On which the team members traced and arrested the female accused Temin alias Chuniya and accused Rahul Dhruv and Kuleshwar Dhruv involved in the case.

During interrogation, accused Sagar Sinha told that he was in love with female accused Temin alias Chuniya Dhruv, deceased Dhanendra Sahu was also in love with the same girl, which he had forbidden many times, even after his refusal, when deceased Dhanendra Sahu was found talking to the female accused, he planned to murder deceased Dhanendra Sahu and according to the plan, accused Sagar Sinha called his female friend Temin alias Chuniya Dhruv on phone to deceased Dhanendra Sahu on 19.02.2025. On 23.02.2025, deceased Dhanendra Sahu was going from Raipur to Mahasamund with his sister. During this, he got down near Lakhauli bus stand and sent his sister home and reached the place mentioned by female accused Temin alias Chuniya Dhruv. At the same time, accused Sagar Sinha along with his 02 other companions took deceased Dhanendra Sahu in a two-wheeler to village Kosamkhunta in Arang and there killed him by stabbing him with a knife and due to fear of getting caught, threw the body in Bhaisasur Khar located in village Kosamkhunta.

Since the accused were found to have carried out the murder incident in a planned manner by criminal conspiracy, action is being taken by adding Section 61(2), 3(5) BNS in the case.

All the four accused have been arrested and 02 mobile phones, 01 two-wheeler used in the incident have been recovered from their possession.
