A total of 31 country plain liquors containing 180 ml each filled with Pauwa Sheelband worth Rs 2480 were seized from the possession of one accused who was in possession of liquor with the intention of earning money illegally. Under the guidance of District Captain Dr. Abhishek Pallav, Asp Harish Rathore and under the direction of Police Sub-Divisional Officer Sanjay Tiwari, Chowki Bazar Charbhatha police team, under the leadership of Si outpost in-charge Tarandas Dahria, conducted a crackdown on illegal gambling, betting, illicit liquor, drugs and other criminal activities. Continuous effective action is being taken against him.
In the same sequence today, on the information given to the informer, the accused – Meghraj Kaushik, resident of village market Charbhatha, father Mehtar Kaushik, age 40 years, was found in possession of liquor in more quantity than intended for earning money illegally through Sakin Bazaar Charbhatha and a white colored plastic. The sack contained 31 pieces of country plain liquor, each with 180 ml Pauva Sheelband, worth Rs 2480, which was seized by taking action under Section 34(2) of the Excise Act. Since the case was non-bailable, the accused was arrested and sent to District Jail Kawardha on judicial remand. Sub Inspector Tarandas Dahria, Head Constable Harishankar Suman, Rajesh Dhurve, Siddram Barve, Satish Chandravanshi, Constable Geeta Shriwas, Surendra Patel, Yashwant Meravi, Tekram Patel had special contribution in this action.
