Smugglers from Haryana caught in Shimla
Shimla. Shimla Police, acting on the basis of secret information, has arrested three smugglers from Haryana with chitta near Fagu. Police have recovered 179.98 grams of chitta from the possession of the accused. The value of the chitta seized from the possession of the accused is said to be in lakhs. Police are finding out from where the accused had brought Chitta and where they were going to supply it. During the police interrogation, many important revelations related to Chitta mafia can be made from the accused. More arrests may still be made in this Chitta case. Within ten months after SP Sanjeev Gandhi took charge in Shimla, Shimla Police has broken the back of Chitta Mafia. So far this year, Shimla Police has registered 400 NDPS cases and arrested 635 people.
20 women are also involved in these drug trafficking cases. There has been a 150 percent increase in drug trafficking cases. During vehicle checking at main Chowk Fagu, 179.98 grams of chitta was recovered from a white car. Identification of the accused in the car: Vijay age 25 years resident of village Babyal Tehsil Mahesh Nagar District Ambala Haryana, Sumit age 31 years resident house number four ward number 13 Babyal Road Ambala Mahesh Nagar Haryana, Rajesh Saini age 33 years resident village Dakola Post Office Saha Tehsil Barara. District Ambala has been formed as Haryana. SP Sanjeev Gandhi says that the police is taking strict action against the drug mafia. SP said that a case has been registered against the three accused caught with Chitta in Fagu and action has been initiated. SP Sanjeev Gandhi said that the police is investigating the backward linkages of the accused, more accused may still be arrested.
