Smuggling of illegal firecrackers, seized by police during checking.

Raigarh. In view of the upcoming assembly elections, vehicle checking has been intensified by Flying Squad Team (FST), Static Surveillance Team (SST) and police teams. A goods carrier auto filled with illegal firecrackers has been caught during vehicle checking by Kharsia Police and Flying Squad team near village Chaple on Raigarh-Kharsia NH 49. Action has been taken against the driver under the Explosives Act at Kharsia police station. On the guidance of SSP Sadanand Kumar, police teams are continuously taking action against the transportation of suspicious money and drugs in coordination with the Flying Squad of the area. In the same sequence today, during vehicle checking by Kharsia Police and Flying Squad near village Chaple on NH 49, goods carrier Auto CG 12 B.E. In 6659, the driver was caught transporting firecrackers. The driver of the vehicle, Dinesh Rathore, father Ghunu Rathore, age 45 years, resident of Ratanmahka Chowki Kharsia, told that the firecrackers loaded in the vehicle were to be taken from Kharsia to Raigarh, due to which when asked for the bill/documents related to the transportation of firecrackers, he said that there was no bill/document.

On the spot, the illegal firecrackers along with the vehicle and the driver were brought to Kharsia police station by Kharsia police station in-charge Inspector Rakesh Mishra. The value of firecrackers seized from the vehicle is said to be more than Rs 5 lakh. On the guidance of SDOP Kharsia Prabhat Patel, Kharsia police duly seized illegal firecrackers and took action against the driver of the vehicle under the Explosives Act at Kharsia police station. Station in-charge Kharsia Inspector Rakesh Mishra said that on the guidance of Senior Superintendent of Police and SDOP Kharsia, action will be taken by running a campaign against those selling and keeping firecrackers without license. Flying squad in-charge Dr. Ramesh Manhar, TI Kharsia Rakesh Mishra, ASI Lakshmi Rathore, Ashiq Ratre, constable Vishosh Singh, Pradeep Tiwari and Flying Squad head constable Shambhu Khairwar, constable Chandresh Pandey, forest guard, were involved in capturing a goods carrier auto loaded with illegal firecrackers.
