Social media trolling affected my mental health: Chahatt Khanna

Mumbai (IANS) | TV actress Chahatt Khanna says trolling, negative and derogatory comments on social media often used to affect her mentally, but now she is learning to handle them all.

The actress said: Earlier, I used to take comments more seriously, now I have learned to ignore them and focus on positive things in my life. It is important to address the issue of online trolling and cyberbullying, as it can affect people’s mental health.

Chahat Khanna has worked in TV serials ‘Kumkum’, ‘Kajjal’, ‘Qubool Hai’, ‘Bade Achhe Lagte Hain’. He further said that online trolling can affect a person’s mental health and well-being.

He said that people unnecessarily comment on someone’s looks and it is unfortunate and disrespectful. Chahat requested people to spread positivity.

He further said: I have appealed to people to spread positivity on social media instead of spreading negativity. I believe that social media can be a powerful tool to connect people and spread positivity, if used in the right way. It is important to remember that everyone has the right to express themselves and be themselves without fear of persecution. We all should try to use social media responsibly and spread positivity instead of hatred.
