Solar Agriculture Livelihood Scheme – 1395 sub-stations identified for setting up 1700 solar power plants of 5100 MW
To provide good quality electricity to the farmers of the state during day time and to promote decentralized solar power plants in rural areas, positive results are being obtained from the Solar Agriculture Livelihood Scheme launched under PM-KUSUM Component-C Feeder Level Solarization. Are. Under the scheme, Jaipur Discom has successfully issued work orders for setting up 20 solar power plants of 52.66 MW capacity and tenders have been issued for 347 MW capacity solar power plants.
Managing Director of Jaipur Discom Mr. RN Kumawat said that Jaipur Discom has identified 1395 sub-stations of 33/11 KV for installation of 1700 solar power plants of about 5100 MW capacity in the area and these solar power plants The list and capacity of Saur Krishi Aajeevika Yojana (SKAY) has been made available on the portal. He informed that tender was issued by Jaipur Discom for setting up solar power plants of 113 MW capacity, out of which work orders have been successfully issued for setting up 20 solar power plants of 52.66 MW. Along with this, keeping in view the interest of the applicants/participants, tenders have also been issued for 347 MW capacity solar power plants, which are available on the e-Procurement Rajasthan portal.
Mr. Kumawat informed that for the convenience of farmers, land owners and solar energy developers, Energy Minister Mr. Bhanwar Singh Bhati launched Saur Krishi Aajeevika Yojana- Online Land Registration web portal. The objective of this portal is to utilize the abundant land resources of the state by giving farmers and land owners an opportunity to lease out their barren and unusable land on pre-determined lease basis for setting up solar power plants on RESCO mode and Intimate the availability of land for setting up a solar power plant to the interested solar power developer.
It is worth mentioning that the government aims to make Rajasthan a green energy state by harnessing the state’s huge solar power generation potential of 142 GW (Rajasthan Solar Policy-2019) to achieve the goal of Net Zero. To provide cheap and good quality electricity to the consumers through non-conventional energy sources by reducing the dependence on conventional sources of energy like coal, oil and gas etc.
