Soldier dies in road accident
Shimla. A road accident took place in Chaupal sub-division of Shimla on the day of Diwali. In this, a person working in the army died and his nephew was injured. The tragic road accident took place on the Chaupal-Shimla road at a place called Nursery, three kilometers away from Chaupal.
The deceased has been identified as Dinesh (34), resident of village Gumma, tehsil Nerwa district, Shimla. Dinesh’s nephew Aditya (14), son of Bansi Lal, is admitted in IGMC in an injured condition. It is being told that Dinesh was driving the car. According to the information, Dinesh’s family lives in Shimla city.
To celebrate Diwali, he was going from Shimla to his village in two vehicles. Dinesh’s nephew Aditya was traveling in the car. Dinesh’s wife and children were traveling in the other car. On Sunday afternoon, Dinesh’s car went out of control in the nursery near Chaupal and fell about 30 feet down the road.
Dinesh and Aditya were badly injured in the accident. Both were referred to IGMC from Civil Hospital Chaupal, but Dinesh died on the way. There was mourning in Dinesh’s family due to this accident. Confirming the matter, SP Shimla Sanjeev Gandhi said that the police have taken the body into custody and sent it for post-mortem. He said the police are investigating the cause of the accident.
