Soldier injured in Naxal attack dies during treatment
Bijapur. The head constable, who was injured in the IED blast between Hiroli and Kanwadgaon of Gangalur police station area of the district, was martyred. He was undergoing treatment in a private hospital in Raipur. He breathed his last during treatment.
It may be noted that on December 29, Head Constable Arvind Ekka was seriously injured in his leg due to the explosion of a pressure IED planted on the footpath at a distance of 3 km from Hiroli Camp of Gangalur police station area. He was sent by helicopter to Raipur hospital for better treatment. He was undergoing treatment here. He breathed his last during treatment on the 20th day of the incident.
DSP Sudeep Sarkar said that head constable Arvind Ekka was martyred on Wednesday morning. He was undergoing treatment at Narayana Hospital in Raipur. DSP Sarkar told that he was a resident of Jashpur.
