Sometimes burnt roti, sometimes raw vegetables…daughter-in-law stabbed to death, a day later the killer father-in-law ended his life
Bihar Sharif: A sensational case has come to light from Sheikhpura in Bihar. In Barbigha of the district, a man stabbed his daughter-in-law to death. 24 hours later, the killer father-in-law also committed suicide by consuming poison. The body of father-in-law Ashok Singh has been recovered from Lakhisarai railway station. The police have also found a suicide note, in which Ashok wrote that his daughter-in-law was sometimes serving him burnt roti and sometimes raw vegetables for food. Because of this, there was a dispute between the two.
Barbigha police station in-charge Vaibhav Kumar said that on Thursday night, Ashok Singh, a resident of Maur village, stabbed his daughter-in-law to death. After this, the woman’s body was sent to Sheikhpura for post-mortem. After 24 hours, the deceased woman’s father-in-law Ashok Singh committed suicide by consuming poison at Lakhisarai railway station. A suicide note has been recovered from him.
In the suicide note, the deceased Ashok Singh has written that he had a dispute with his daughter-in-law over food. For the last 15 days, she was feeding him burnt rotis and raw vegetables. On Thursday night, he got very angry and killed his daughter-in-law with a rope-cutting knife.
There is a discussion among the villagers that Ashok Singh was a very calm person. The villagers do not know what kind of dispute he had with his daughter-in-law. The suicide note shows that there was a dispute between the two over food, after which she was stabbed to death. The deceased woman’s brother lodged an FIR in Barbigha police station, in which father-in-law Ashok Singh, his son-in-law Prabhat Kumar and his daughter were made accused.
