Son-in-law killed father-in-law for property
Bijnor (IANS). In a shocking revelation in Uttar Pradesh’s Bijnor, a son-in-law killed his father-in-law because he was healthy and still had a long chance to live.
The son-in-law felt that if he lived for a long time, he would not be able to get the property soon. He killed his father-in-law in the greed of property.
Additional Superintendent of Police Dr. Praveen Ranjan said that on August 6, the body of a 73-year-old man was recovered from the road leading to Athai-Zamruddin village under Haldaur police station. The deceased has been identified as Chandrapal of Damnagar Lakda village.
The victim’s wife had registered an FIR by naming Farman alias Golu. Police investigation revealed the involvement of his son-in-law Rishipal, besides two associates Farman and Jitendra, and they were arrested.
The ASP said that the accused Rishipal confessed to the crime and during police interrogation told that the deceased had four daughters and two sons. The deceased Chandrapal had thirty bighas of land. Three-four years ago, a will was made by the deceased, that after my death, my thirty bighas of land should be divided in equal parts among two daughters.
When the police asked Rishipal why he needed to kill his father-in-law, when after him the property would automatically go to his wife.
On this, the accused said that his father-in-law Chandrapal was healthy and out of his thirty bighas of land, he sold four bighas of land to Jitendra and four bighas of land was given to his daughter-in-law Reena. He was going to transfer four bighas of land in the name of his younger son.
What would he have got in the will when he had sold all the property. When Rishipal discusses his plan to get his father-in-law killed, Farman and Jitendra ask him to cooperate. Farman and Jitendra had taken a loan of Rs 15 lakh from the deceased Chandrapal.
Rishipal made his father-in-law drink alcohol to kill him. As per the plan, he was strangled to death with a pot and later hid the body in the roadside bushes.
