Son-in-law who went to in-laws’ house died due to burning
Sarkaghat. The son-in-law, who had gone to his in-laws’ house in Gram Panchayat Bakarata of sub-division Sarkaghat, died under suspicious circumstances due to burning. The incident took place on Saturday night, a day before Diwali. On Saturday night, his father picked up Naveen Kumar from the courtyard of his in-laws’ house in a critical condition and took him to the hospital. From there Naveen was referred to Medical College Hamirpur, but Naveen died in the hospital on Diwali Sunday. On the complaint of the father, the police have registered a case against Naveen’s in-laws under various sections including murder. Police and forensic team have collected evidence from the incident site.
The police is investigating the case keeping all the aspects in mind. According to the information received from the police, Prakash Chand son of Mahajan Ram of village Badal of Gopalpur Panchayat told that my son Naveen Kumar had gone to his in-laws house in Bakarata and on Saturday evening someone called and told that his son was lying in the courtyard of his in-laws in a half-burnt state. Is kept. When Naveen’s father reached his son’s in-laws’ house in Bakarata, Naveen was lying in the courtyard. According to the father, while being taken to the hospital, Naveen told on the way that my wife Pooja had poured oil on me and my mother-in-law had set me on fire. After setting it on fire, father-in-law and brother-in-law threw it in the courtyard.
On reaching Sarkaghat, seeing his condition, the doctors referred him to Hamirpur where Naveen died on Sunday. It is being told that Naveen had married Pooja of his own free will and after marriage, they all lived together in the house. Naveen Kumar used to work at a glass shop in Faridabad. About 1½ years ago, Naveen had an accident and Naveen had come home.
After that, after recovering, Naveen started his glass shop in Nabahi Sarkaghat, but the shop did not work. After that, Naveen closed the shop after three-four months and in November 2022, Vaddi went to Nalagarh for a job. He was employed in a glass factory there. 5/7 days after her son went to Vaddi Nalagarh, daughter-in-law Pooja had gone to her maternal home in Sain along with her daughter Dishu and was living in her maternal home since then.
Naveen had gone to his in-laws’ house on Saturday to celebrate the puja and bring him home. Confirming the matter, police station in-charge Surendra Thakur said that the police is investigating the matter. Currently a case has been registered under IPC 302 and other sections. Other aspects are also being looked into in the case.
