Son Killed, Father Critical After They Hack Each Other In Bhadrak District

Bhadrak: In an unfortunate incident, a man his son hacked each other over some petty issue at Sunagadia village under Bant Police station limit of Bhadrak district today.

Some argument over a family issue took place between Madhav Barik, father and his 36-year-old son Sankarshan while they were having their lunch this afternoon. Their argument turned ugly after they attacked each other with sharp weapons, said sources.

While the son died on the spot, his father, who sustained critical injuries, was rescued by the locals and was rushed to the local hospital for treatment. However, doctor referred him to the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack as his condition deteriorated further.

Meanwhile, the Bant Police is said to have started an investigation into the matter.
