Son lost his temper after seeing father’s actions, sent to jail along with mother
Kawardha: A sensational case of murder has come to light in village Kadma of Kukdur police station area of Kabirdham district. A young man along with his mother murdered his father and then performed the last rites by deceiving the villagers. Two days after the incident, on suspicion, the police team reached the cremation ground. The grave was dug for post-mortem and the body was taken out. The police have arrested the mother and son accused of murder.
According to the police, the deceased Ram Prasad used to drink alcohol and beat up his family every day. Something similar happened on 26th November at around 10 pm on the night of the incident. The deceased Ram Prasad was beating his wife with a stick under the influence of alcohol, when his son Jageshwar Markam reached there and attacked his father Ram Prasad with an iron rod kept in the courtyard, due to which he died on the spot.
After the incident, the accused mother and son kept the dead body in the house overnight. In the morning, the accused lied to the family and villagers that their father died due to injuries caused by falling in the field. In this way, deceiving the village people, they took the father’s body to the crematorium on 27th November, where his shroud was buried. People had seen bleeding from the injury on the head. Before the cremation, some people had seen blood flowing from a wound on the head of the dead body, which made them suspicious. Also, suspicion was raised due to the accused son’s refusal to inform the police about this matter.
This was discussed in the village throughout the day. Meanwhile, someone went to the police station and informed about the incident. On Wednesday, in the presence of SDM Naib and Tehsildar, the police dug the grave and took out the body and a team of two doctors conducted the post-mortem. After strict interrogation, the accused mother and son confessed to their crime. At present, the police have arrested the accused son and mother on charges of murder.
